The 6th edition of biennial Space Expo was held in Bengaluru last week. The conference was themed “Creating dynamism in Indian space ecosystem” and had participation from around 50 expert speakers, 100 exhibitors and 500+ delegates from France, Russia, US, UK, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. The event was co-organized by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Antrix Corporation Ltd.
There were multiple panel discussions, workshops and expert talks related to Indian space ecosystem, launch vehicles, satellite technology and opportunities in space infrastructure, space transportation and various trends and technologies related to spacetech. At the expo, ISRO had a dedicated pavilion that revealed space suits, crew module, crew habitat and crew escape model for the upcoming Gaganyaan mission – the first human spaceflight programme of India scheduled to be launched in 2022.
