ISRO Chairman Shri. A.S.Kiran Kumar gave a presentation last month on Space Technology and Agriculture at the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) in Bengaluru. The presentation was part of foundation day and award ceremony of UAS.
He gave a detailed overview of ISRO’s journey through the years, various missions carried out so far and the future roadmap. He also gave a detailed overview of various remote sensing applications in Agriculture and how space technology has incrementally helped agriculture over the last 45 years. The presentation concluded with future research focus of space based applications in agricultural sector.
